Staying Connected Beyond Council
The VLGA values the depth and breadth of knowledge former councillors developed over their term in public service. Such experience can add significant value to the sector well beyond their time as an elected representative.
Established in 2025, the Alumni Network allows former councillors to stay connected, share knowledge and lived experience and act as sector ambassadors.
Exclusive Benefits for Alumni Members
By becoming a member of the VLGA Alumni, former councillors have access to VLGA programs and special Alumni networking events, as well as the opportunity to participate in forums and share key learnings and insights to inform sector advocacy.
Annual membership to the VLGA Alumni is $125 (ex GST).
Alumni Members also benefit from special rates to VLGA events and professional development opportunities.
