Lunch & Learn

The VLGA offers a series of complimentary councillor professional development workshops for its members each year.

These online, interactive and confidential sessions are held over lunchtime, run for 60-minutes and focus on topics councillors have identified as being important for their ongoing professional development.

These sessions form part of the VLGA’s ongoing commitment to provide programs for our member councillors to continue to grow and develop their skills, as well as to hear from and learn from leaders in their fields.

The VLGA recognises the challenges councils face when it comes to meeting their councillor professional development obligations under the Act, both in terms of financial costs and time pressures and this series is designed to ease the load.

At least half of the complimentary Lunch and Learn workshops align directly with the mandatory councillor professional development requirements outlined by the Victorian Government each year – offering significant financial and time savings for councillors from VLGA member councils.
