This social and professional network for young councillors, provides participants with the organisational and peer-based support they need to thrive in complex council environments.
Through supporting this generation of young councillors, we can encourage new generations of young people to run for local government in the future.
This group is a forum for ideas and action, driven by member councillors. As the support infrastructure behind this group, the VLGA will assist in the facilitation of professional development, as well as create networking opportunities where councillors can share ideas, challenges and opportunities and work together to achieve successful outcomes for the community’s they represent. We seek to empower this generation of young councillors with the tools and knowledge that they need to lead change in their communities.
